Ballon Fest

What a great bunch of photos taken for the ballon fest. I wish I could have made it up there ,but I had some family issues that kept me away. Hopefully I can make the Great Salt Lake one
if there still doing it or theres always next year.
Great job everyone.

Looks like you had a good run of images on your trip. How did that sigma work out for you? Would you dare use it for the eagles? Id be interested to hear your thoughts on it.

Mark ... the image was taken very early in the morning ... iso 200 f22 for 13 seconds.

Thanks for your feedback. Though I disagree with your selflimitations. Study images you like. Think about what is working. Compare that to your shots. Try "copying" shots you like. Then add your own take... Evolve. It is sometimes slow, but with study and effort, evolution WILL occur.

Mark,
I started out with a Dimage 7 with a red filter. Now I use a converted canon Rebel xti. This shot is with the rebel. Thanks for looking at my images.

Mark ... great shot especially with the "historic" sign in the background. Nice attention to detail.

Thank you! That was my first time shooting air balloons.. I still have some learning to do to be as good as most of the people that went... but I like how they turned out!

Mark ... It is my favorite also but, to be honest, I am not extremely fond of this photo ... just posted it for the people who are headed that way the end of August. I am going to try to go back next spring to redo the shot ... this was my first attempt. I got to the location at 4AM and could not believe the number of photographers already there so everyone was in a hurry.
Anyway, thanks for the comment.

All of your shots are great but I really love what you did with dsco32702 the old biplane shot. I tried to get the 2 tbirds flying together one inverted but after seeing yours, I erased mine.
