- Thank you for your comment. I did just clipped a black piece of fabric on some chairs and had the kids sit in front. Then, before the kids got there, I set up my camera shooting the plaid hat until it was the right exposure. I'm glad they turned out so well....this was the first time doing this.

Joe Dickerson said… - It was in Little Cottonwood Canyon Right above the Park n Ride at the mouth of the canyon. And yes it was a grueling hike, about 70-75% grade and about 3/4 the way up the mountain. I quickly learned that I am not as young as I once was. But it was worth the trip, at the top I was able to set and watch and shoot for about 30-40 minutes until my card said no more. They have a couple of telescopes mounted to a platform that are great for viewing and/or with a spotting scope you would be able to see them well.

- Did you sign up for the landscape class? He postponed it until March 26th. There are only 5 people in the class and he needs I think 7 more. Its only $50. and he's teaching some photoshop. It should be fun. I really liked his photo 101 class. I learned alot, he's such a good teacher. Did you go to photocamp. I couldn't go I was out of town. Take care. Shelly
