You have blown me away Tawni, they are all awesome shots, and I love 25th Stret, but this one in particular is lyrical, beautiful and a metaphor of the west.

Very cool foto! One of my all time favorites. I once did a logo just like this, except of course with graphix, you can get perfect symetry, with animals..not so much! It was a resort on Aruba owned by Muiel Hemmingway and her old beau Bernard Fers...

Just to show what makes a horserace?? I will weight in and go exactly against what Doug noticed and pointed out. The "uncomfotable" right foot, brings tremdous tension and interest into the photo. THE LEFT FOOT here also is a little close to the e...

Best shot, you need the blurrrr. I suppose it is a great release for people's frustration with driving, when every one "ELSE" does it so poorly!

You have a DOG?

Dogs, especially big dogs need lots of exercise to be good dogs.

They would love an evening or weekend trip to the south Ogden Dog Park. It is fenced and people watch responsibly as dogs run and play off leash and have a great time.

It is located at Club Heights Park, right behind ShopKo , where the ToysRus used to be.

All my dogs shots are posted there... http://www.flickr.com/photos/glasmann/558… Continue

Steven - I suppose I should title my photos ... new at this site but I will catch on sooner or later. Yes, this is a yellowstone wolf that I came across in the small stream along the Sheepeater road near Mammoth.
As for the hummingbird ... I took this photo in Big Cottonwood Canyon the other day. It would be nice if there were more color but I was just happy to capture the image. What was cool about this trip was the fact that while waiting for the hummingbird a 3 to 4 year old bull moose (the one I posted with the birds) came out of the woods and started to thrash wildly in the pond. Although I took numerous photos they did not come out well as the pool was in deep shade. Too bad because his behavior is something you don't normally see.
Thanks for the comment.

Instead of scanning your old chromes, may I suggest a trip back to Kenya. (just a suggestion). Mine was a digital from a year or 2 ago. I spent a couple years shooting dozens of tfp's and on occasion, I just go back and pick one to see if I like it done diferently.

Steve, thanks for your comments. Landscape Arch is an easy and popular 1 mile hike that begins near the campground in Arches. If I remember correctly, parts of the arch have fallen twice in recent history. But it's still there for now.

Steve, Thanks for the kind words. I've often thought my photos were very different especially when compared to the great things the folks are doing in the Club, more of a purest venue. My favorite car shows are the Cache Valley Drive-in July 4th and 5th, and the Layton Commons show August 7 & 8th. The Cache vally show draws people from all over the Western U.S. I'll be sure to give you a call. We'll see if we can get Al P to head up with us. As for my dogs, they are 11 1/2 now and have great difficulty so they get to stay at home.

The CLS system is the wireless Speedlight control in the Nikon camera's. With the D700 and SB900 you will be able to run you speedlight off camera via IR, and control the settings of that speedlight (or more ig you get them) directly in the camera. It is a pretty cool system. And can save having to buy Radio Poppers or similar right off the bat. Although if you are going with the D700 and SB900 then budget might not be an issue.
