Congrats again to Jeff! We all loved "Tail Lights" and so did the judges. Jeff used a well known technique with a creative twist. Most of us have tried capturing the lights of a car down the street (or up the canyon for those that went to the night field trip), but I've never seen it used to tell a story. Or rather, map the route of your ATV. Very cool.
Jeff answered a few questions for me so that we can get to know him a little better.
Where and how was your shot taken?
The photo was t…

So here are some pictures with my flash drag experiment. I don't think I can use rear sync with my SB28 and 26 and pocket wizards or at least I couldn't figure it out. I just used the on camera flash. Not my ideal but good for fun. I didnt like that there were two flashed though. Doesn't it seem like the flash should only be at the end? Am I missing something? I also didn't like the ghost effect it had on some of the pictures. I think this might have been because my shutter speed was too long. I…

Here are some shots down town. Mostly Trax. I realized I should have brought my flash booklet with me. I wanted to try to rear sync these so that the sharp areas would get blurred over. I couldn't figure out how to do a rear sync. Although, with my old flashes, maybe I cant do it. I will have to check.

This is the sky walk. I used a gelled orange flash for the bottom half.…

I have a blog but have found that the people who read it don't really care about my photography journeys or my Pocket Wizard rebate! They just want to see pictures of my family. Everything has its place I guess. So I thought I would start this blog to chat about my photo goings on.
I wanted to share this photo disaster with everyone mostly so that the lessons I learned might become engraved into my head and so that everyone can maybe have a good laugh.
My idea was to shoot a model in the snow…
