Glad to see we are getting some people to go

We're planning on going 27-30th After last nights temps in Yellowstone a motel sounds the best for us.

Ok, Sloughcreek is right in Lamar valley and is suppose to be favorite of wolf watchers. Pebble creek is east of lamar valley but very close. Both are primitive (no flushing toilets) and first come first serve camping. I think both had 32 camp spots at 12 bucks a night (dont quote me on this). My 2 cents worth.

If all is leaning toward camping I am up for it. Does anyone know the names of the campgrounds in Gardiner/lamar valley?? As well are tent trailers allowed or only hardside trailers?? We should solidify the decision so that we can get reservations in order camp or hotel, which ever it may be. Tis the season for lots of people.

I might be able to go, is it the 28-30? I would perfer camping, but might be able to do a hotel I'll talk to my boss and see if I can get the time off, would love to go.

I am still uncertain, but if I did camp, it would be in the Gardiner / Lamar Valley Area, since that's where I spend 95% of my time in the Park

Has the decision on "camping vs. motel" been made? I am thinking about taking my trailer up on 26 Aug and staying in Madison campground. If we go we'll probably stay until 1 August. This is not a definite commitment as I am having a part for my trailer machined and I don't have a firm commitment on when that will be done. I can't move the trailer until that is done. I am also planning to be up there the last two weeks in September and will probably stay in a campground in West Yellowstone.

I am leaning more toward the hotel as camping might get in the way of shooting time. We could always find a day use spot if we feel the need to mingle around the campfire and talk about the shots that got away. Really I am up for what ever floats the boat.
