Cynthia responded to some questions I had for her.

"A humble appreciation to the judges and club members who regarded my photo as worthy enough for competition. I am so pleased...thank you.

I took the photo at my father's memorial this past April. It was a somber time. My oldest brother, having received the flag, which honored my father for his service in World War II, is deep in his own memories as we all were.

I have always had an interest in all aspects of art. I especially enjoy sketching and painting people as well as sculpting with clay. I became much more interested in the art of photography, when my first digital camera allowed me to photograph people and wildlife non-stop. I have so much to learn about photography, but I am having a great time doing it."
