What technical aspects of the photo did you use that you can share with us?
I used off camera flash using TTL. A Canon 580 EXII on camera set to master. A Canon 430EX camera left with a shoot through umbrella set to slave. The backdrop is a black blanket that was taped it to the wall. I like using TTL in situations like this, it allows me to focus my attention on my subject rather than on making sure the lighting is correct.
When did you become interested in photography?
I purchased my first DSLR in 2007
What is your favorite subject to shoot?
I don't have one specific subject but if I were forced to pick one it would be photographing people.
What are your aspirations as a photographer?
To have fun, learn, and share with others.
What is your favorite part about photography?
Learning new techniques, I really enjoy isolating parts of a photo using depth of field
What is your advice for fellow photographers?
Carry your camera with you at all times.
Shoot a lot.
Create a blog and share your photos, ask for feedback.
Print your photos.

I grew up on a potato farm in Idaho
