This is the buffalo roundup I was telling you about. It usually occurs in November as I recall. I will be checking on this and will let the club know for sure. It is usually a weekday and begins around 8 AM at the ranch on Antelope Island.
I will keep you informed.

Thanks for the comment Rob. After you and Rusty left, the kites came up. This one really caught my eye. We had quite a show from two guys that had identical (except for color) kites and were chasing each other in the sky. I didn't post a photo of those but I will. They were awesome.
Thanks for your comment. I actually took this one with a Sony H1 - no add on lens. Sometimes I get better pictures with the H1 than I do with my Canon DSLR. Go figure.
Your wildlife pictures are awesome!
Thanks for the compliments about my recent pictures. I really admire your animal pictures. They are the best! I hope you have lots of fun in Yellowstone Park. I wish I could be there.
Rob - I took the moose photo in Big Cottonwood Canyon on the road to Donut Falls last winter. The photo could have been so much better but he was moving off so I bracketed the shots the best I could in the time that I had. He was very impressive and only 40-50 feet away.
Actually I have the 1.4 I traded in the 2X, is was not working for me At ALL lol
I have a EF 500MM and use the 1.4 on it, and I love it, it does need a bit more light, but I am So happy with this set up
I still have my 100-400 and its also a SUPER nice lens
Thank you for all the nice comments, Yellowstone is Awesome, I am going back in Mid July, until the first of May I had never been before, and now July will be my 4th time, I am HOOKED.
So many people have seen me at Farmington Bay, but I Never know who they are, so if you see me Somewhere, Stop me and say Hi
I am trying to put a Group Trip to Yellowstone this summer, hopefully a bunch from here can go
Rob, Noticed you have the 100-400 (great lens one of my favorite's) and also have a 2x extender. Are you shooting the extender on the 400? If so how is the image quality, light, manual focus, etc?
I shoot Canon 40d, lenses; Sigma 15-30mm f3.5-4.5 EX, 50mm f1.8, 24-105mm f4 L IS, 70-200mm f4 L IS and the 100-400mm IS / I also have a 430 EXII along with some other paraphanalia.
You got some great shots up Yellowstone way, I have envy of the bear shots that you and Mark have posted up. I need to get up there really badly. Keep up the great shooting.
BTW earlier this year saw you out farmington way many times It think you were as committed or crazy as I was.
Welcome to the group. We have unofficially met before out at Farmington Bay. I think I saw you out there every time I was. Your truck has to be one of the most noticeable ones north of SLC.
